Callahan breaks ground on 73,000 s/f assisted living community

Callahan, Inc. broke ground on Benchmark Senior Living at Split Rock, an assisted living community. The 73,000 s/f LEED certified community will feature studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units. There will also be a 20-unit, memory care wing for residents with dementia and Alzheimer's. "The wing specializing in memory care will be a tremendous asset to the community," said Patrick Callahan, president of Callahan, Inc. "Unfortunately, more and more elders are faced with loss of memory and dementia and this new community will also help families deal with those unique challenges." Callahan, Inc. is providing construction management services for the 92-unit community, which is scheduled to open in May 2014.
