Carlisle Coatings achieves NSF certification for MiraClay product

Carlisle Coatings Waterproofing Inc. (CCW), a leading manufacturer of waterproofing products, recently achieved NSF/ANSI 61 Certification for its CCW MiraCLAY GM product. CCW MiraCLAY GM is a bentonite clay waterproofing membrane with a geomembrane liner designed for waterproofing below-grade structural slabs and retention walls. The CCW MiraCLAY GM product was tested and certified to NSF/ANSI Standard 61 at the Ann Arbor, Michigan laboratories of NSF International, an independent, not-for-profit organization that writes standards and certifies products to protect public health. By receiving NSF Standard 61 Certification, users of the CCW MiraCLAY GM product are assured it will not contribute contaminants to the ground water. CCW general manager Jason Covington said, "This NSF-61 certification has really opened the door for MiraCLAY GM because it can now be used on a number of critical waterproofing applications." Not only can MiraCLAY GM provide a safer waterproofing option, but the membrane has the ability to heal itself if ripped or punctured, providing a significant savings in callbacks and repairs. CCW MiraCLAY GM can also expand and seal minor cracks in concrete and has tremendous impermeability and excellent resistance to chemicals.
