According to Griffin Land, Comfort Systems USA Energy Services has signed a lease for 4,000 s/f at 7 Waterside Crossing. Comfort Systems USA Energy Services is the wholly owned Energy Services subsidiary of Comfort Systems USA. They deliver lower operating costs to clients by reducing energy consumption with engineered solutions that deliver more efficient building systems.
As part of a company wide commitment to sustainable work environments, Comfort Systems USA Energy Services has elected to acquire Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design for Commercial Interiors (LEED CI) certification for its office space. LEED certification is the internationally recognized green building certification system from the U.S. Green Building Council. Working together with Griffin Land, Comfort Systems USA Energy Services has applied for a gold‐level rating, one of the highest LEED certifications available. "Working with Comfort Systems USA Energy Services on the LEED certification has been a fascinating and rewarding process," said Tim Lescalleet, senior vice president of Griffin Land. "Many of our building components and systems, and also our green oriented management practices, are applicable for LEED certification. This has provided much leverage to Comfort Systems USA Energy Services in their goal to achieve the LEED Gold designation."

7 Waterside Crossing is an 80,500 s/f first‐class office building located within Griffin Center, a 600-acre master business park that was planned and developed by Griffin Land. The park is accessed from Exits 37 & 38 off I-91, just south of Bradley International Airport. Area amenities include restaurants, hotels and office‐service businesses that are located within minutes of the park. In-park amenities include Vito's by the Water restaurant and function facility, and the recently reopened SS&C SummerWind Performing Arts Center.
This year, Griffin Land has welcomed ABB, Vertafore and Oakbridge Insurance to its portfolio of tenants within Griffin Center. Additional corporate neighbors within the park include Accellos, Aetna, Comcast, Connecticut Light & Power, Johnson Controls, KMC Music, Kaman Industrial, Great American Insurance, Philips Medical, T‐Mobile, TRC Environmental Solutions, and the U.S. Postal Service.
Patrick Mulready and Anna Kocsondy of CB Richard Ellis, exclusive leasing agents to the property, represented the landlord, a real estate subsidiary of Griffin Land & Nurseries, Inc. Bill Bronson and John McCormick, also of CB Richard Ellis acted as the leasing representatives for Comfort Systems.
