CB Richard Ellis negotiates two new leases totaling 15,000 s/f at 20 Church St.

CB Richard Ellis is having continued success with the lease up of 20 Church St. Following on the heals of the 50,000 s/f Cantor Colburn lease transaction, two new leases were signed recently for 15,000 s/f. Catlin Specialty Insurance Co. has leased 13,222 s/f on the 23rd floor, while law firm, McCoy & McCoy signed a lease for new space on the 17th floor. Combined, the three deals bring total occupancy at the project close to 50%.
Patrick Mulready and Alexis Augsberger of CB Richard Ellis represented the landlord, The Hampshire Companies, in both transactions. Mark Coffey of Bailes & Associates in Newport Beach, Calif., represented Catlin Insurance, while Kink Terry, also of CB Richard Ellis, represented McCoy & McCoy.
20 Church St. is a 23-story Class A office building totaling approximately 408,000 s/f. The property is located in downtown Hartford immediately adjacent to the I-84/I-91 interchange. Under The Hampshire Companies' ownership since May 2006, the building is undergoing approximately $6.5 million in base building systems capital improvements.
Since taking over the leasing assignment a year ago, CB Richard Ellis has leased over 125,000 s/f in the building
