CBC Scalzo, Goodfellow-Ashmore broker $4.31 million land sale

Hal Kurfehs, vice president, Coldwell Banker Commercial Scalzo Group, and Joe Wrinn SIOR, vice president of Goodfellow-Ashmore Realty a $4.31 million land sale. The seller was Lee Farm, LLC, and the purchaser was the U.S. Department of Defense on behalf of the U.S. Army Reserve. The Armed Forces Reserve Center (ARFC) to be built on the 17.24 acre site on Wooster Heights Rd. is located near the crossroads of the east-west 1-84 and north-south Rte. 7, the Danbury Airport and the Danbury Fair Mall. It will include a 95,000 s/f facility with administrative, educational, weapons-simulator, and physical fitness area, as well as a 18,000 s/f vehicle maintenance shop and a 3,000 s/f storage building. The Army Corps has awarded a $33.8 million contract for the construction to Korte-Fusco, a joint venture that includes a company based in New Haven.
