The Armed Forces Reserve Center (ARFC) to be built on the 17.24 acre site on Wooster Heights Rd. is located near the crossroads of the east-west 1-84 and north-south Rte. 7, the Danbury Airport and the Danbury Fair Mall. It will include a 95,000 s/f facility with administrative, educational, weapons-simulator, and physical fitness area, as well as a 18,000 s/f vehicle maintenance shop and a 3,000 s/f storage building.
The Army Corps has awarded a $33.8 million contract for the construction to Korte-Fusco, a joint venture that includes a company based in New Haven.
