Berlin, CT The CCIM Connecticut Chapter hosted the Wayne D’Amico Memorial Golf Outing on Friday September 14 at Timberlin Country Club, 330 Southington Rd.

The very successful event had raffles, silent auction, tournament prizes and more. Attendees included the Wayne D’Amico family, friends and supporters both local and out of state.

Of special note was the appearance of The CCIM All Stars Band of which Wayne was a founding member. The band included Jack Lynch and Steve Werner of The C-Sides Band, Trevor Davis on drums, Geoff Fitzgerald on sax, D’Amico’s lead guitar player, Sam Bradford and Tom Hill second percussionist. Special tribute presentations were made to D’Amico and then the band “Cranked It Back Up” for the after dinner show. Attendees had a Rockin’ Tribute to the one in a million “Wonder-Man,” Wayne D’Amico, CCIM. 

Proceeds from the tournament went to the Wayne D’Amico CCIM Memorial Fund through the CCIM Foundation. The purpose of this fund is to assist families affected by personal tragedies involving the sudden and tragic death of family members involved in the commercial real estate industry with scholarship awards for post-secondary education and/or commercial real estate education.

Professionally, D’Amico was a commercial real estate broker for over 25 years at Wayne D’Amico & Co., Inc. He was committed to all his endeavors and the CCIM Institute was one of his passions. Over his 15 years of service he was elected to the board of directors, served on committees and elected president of the institute for 2013. He created lifelong professional and personal friendships that his family will cherish forever. CCIM members have been D’Amico’s extended family and continue to offer their support. D’Amico recently fulfilled a personal dream to work in New York City. As executive vice president corporate development and strategic relations with Xceligent he was based in the New York City office on Madison Ave. They too became like family to him.

D’Amico graduated NYU with a B.A. in Real Estate and Finance and was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. He was a member of two different Rotary Clubs for over 25 years, where he served on multiple committees helping to raise thousands of dollars for those in need. He also served as a trustee of Essex Savings Bank.
