Century Shopping Center has launched a comprehensive facelift project that includes façade and signage renovations of the 285,000 s/f retail destination.
"We've undertaken this project to keep our look fresh and up-to-date," said Century owner, Andrew Cohen, who noted that the center underwent its last such renovation in 1988. Originally built in the early 1950s by Cohen's father and uncles, the center has been enlarged a number of times over the years.
"These renovations will keep us at the top of our game in the face of the economic challenges now confronting the national economy," Cohen said, citing other recent improvements that include repaving of the parking lot and new parking lot lighting.
Century tenants include: TJ Maxx, Modell's Sporting Goods, Big Y Supermarket, CVS, McDonalds, Pet Supplies Plus, Bank of America, AutoZone, Party Warehouse, Casual Male, Rainbow Shops, Dot's and Payless Shoe.
The entire project, to be completed in stages, will take a total of 90 days, Cohen said.
