Chairman's message: Fall events and the 50th anniversary

I hope every one has had an enjoyable summer with plenty of time with friends and family. So far the year has met our goals, increased membership, increased participation, more vibrant monthly meetings and some truly excellent educational seminars. I am very pleased at how the chapter has progressed to date and give thanks for the support of the executive board, the volunteer board and our members as nothing would be possible without them. The ASIS Golf Tournament was a success. Thank you to our sponsors and participants. Your efforts (and fun) go to a very worthy cause. Please note that the Manning Fund is now accepting applications see inside the newsletter for the overview and application. With that said, I am eagerly looking forward to our fall lineup we have some more educational seminars in the works, interesting monthly meetings and will begin looking for our 2009 executive board. Of special interest, we have a sensational event planned to celebrate our 50th Anniversary. On October 18th we will commemorate our success with the 50th Anniversary Gala to include dinner, dancing and the chance to leave with a 50" flat screen TV. This affair promises to be like no other. I will be looking forward to seeing you at the Seaport Hotel on October 18th. Keep an eye on your mailbox as you will be receiving your 2008/2009 Membership Directory. My gratitude to Joe Hooper, Marty Patenaude, David Spector, and Jennifer Goba for all their efforts in making this an excellent resource for all members. I will see you soon. Phil Stewart, CPP is the 2008 chairman of the ASIS Boston chapter, Needham, Mass.
