Chapman Construction/Design starts new science center at Tenacre Country Day School

Tenacre Country Day School hosted a groundbreaking ceremony on May 15 to kick off the construction of their new science center. Chapman Construction/Design was selected as the construction manager for the project, which includes both renovations and a 3,000 s/f addition to the existing science center. Students ranging in age from Pre-K through grade 6 were invited to participate in breaking ground alongside Christian Elliot, the head of school, and members of the board of trustees. "Keeping the pupils and summer campers safe is foremost in our minds, particularly in the early stages of construction as we excavate for new utilities and the foundation for the addition," said Chapman's executive project manager, George Dyroff. Chapman is partnering with Olson Lewis + Architects and Goldstein-Milano Structural Engineers on this project, which is expected to be complete in the fall.
