Charter Realty completes multiple deals totaling 60,927 s/f in Westport

Bedford Square - Westport, CT 

Westport, CT Charter Realty & Development Corp. has completed many leasing deals with various tenants over the past few months. Some of these deals include the 40,000 s/f Anthropologie that anchors Bedford Square in downtown. Anthropologie & Co. opened its first store in 1992 and now has over 200 stores nationally. The Bedford Square Anthropologie is one of their few stores with the new concept embracing clothing, furniture, home decor, cosmetics and even a wedding gown department. Urban Outfitters, their parent company, has opened Amis Trattoria next door to Anthropologie.

Also within Bedford Square, Savannah Bee Company opened their 1,560 s/f store early this summer and has been selling honey and natural health & beauty products. Williams Sonoma will be opening a 7,500 s/f store in the spring of 2018. M-EAT Organic Beef & Provisions, will be opening their 1,157 s/f butcher shop within the next few weeks. Construction of a 1,492 s/f space is underway for Nick & Zoe, a women’s fashion, clothing and accessories store and should be complete by December 2018. The Higgins Group will be moving into a 2,448 s/f office space by the end of the year. 

Nearby, in the Compo II shopping center, Charter Realty along with Brooks,Torrey & Scott Commercial Real Estate has leased 1,500 s/f to Patriot National Bank. Patriot Bank opened their doors in 1994, and currently have 10 locations in Fairfield County. Charter Realty also worked with Winzone Realty to place Indeego Spa in a 1,800 s/f space at the Compo II Center. This is their 2nd location in Westport.

Charter Realty also secured a lease for a 970 s/f Layla’s Falafel at 1529 Post Rd. This restaurant offers authentic food of the Middle East and has location in Stamford and Fairfield.

Peter Levine of Charter Realty has placed Restore Cryotherapy in 2,500 s/f at 877 Post Road East.

Goldberg of Spire Investments purchases Beverly portfolio for $9.2m

Beverly, MA Jay Goldberg, president and owner of Spire Investments has completed the purchase of four multifamily buildings. The 33-unit purchase amounted to a sale price of $9.2 million or $278,788 per unit. The properties are all located in downtown and consist of one- and two-bedroom units.
