Charter Realty & Development Corp. signs Michaels to 21,400 s/f at Torrington Fair

Torrington CT Charter Realty & Development Corp. signed a 21,400 s/f lease to Michaels at 1880 East Main St. The Torrington Fair is anchored by Walmart, Price Chopper and Petco. Michaels will occupy the former Circuit City space. The deal was made by Dan Zelson of Charter's Westport office and Todd Lornell of Lornell Realty. The center is now 100% leased, but has the potential for an outparcel to be developed. Charter Realty & Development currently owns or leases over 70 shopping centers throughout the eastern United States. Michaels is a retail store that carries a variety of arts and craft supplies, including paints, brushes, canvases, scrapbooking materials, beads, wedding supplies, yarns, floral items and more. The store also sells home décor, frames, seasonal merchandise and offers custom framing services. Michaels has more than 1,000 locations nationwide and in Canada.
