Boston, MA City Realty Group (CRG), a community-focused real estate company serving the Greater Boston area since 2004, has donated 10 Chromebooks to support Boston Partners in Education, an educational organization that enhances the academic achievement and nurtures the personal growth of Boston’s public school students by providing them with focused, individualized, in-school volunteer support. The Chromebooks will be given to students in the Independent Learning Support Program. The Independent Learning Support Program at Boston Partners in Education is an online mentoring model that brings core mentoring programs outside of the classroom to better accommodate the fluid education and learning landscapes that Boston Public School students face. The mission of Boston Partners in Education is to give children who are struggling in school the tools necessary to become better learners by mobilizing community members to serve as volunteer academic mentors to K-12 students.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has magnified the inequities that our Boston Public Schools students are facing, especially when it comes to additional support systems and resources,” said Erin McGrath, Boston Partners in Education executive director. “These donated Chromebooks provided by City Realty Group are putting resources directly into the hands of students, and allowing them to take further ownership of learning outside of class. It’s added encouragement to explore their interests and continue on their educational paths.”

“We are happy to help Boston Public School students who are working remotely, it is important that they have the resources that they need to learn at home,” said City Realty Group Managing Partner Stephen Whalen. “This will make an immediate and direct impact for students in our communities who are forced to adapt to a changing learning environment.”
