Concord, MA Supporting Habitat for Humanity of Greater Lowell’s housing program during Women in Construction Week, Coastal Windows & Exteriors (CWE) attended the 52nd Home Dedication Event with a heartfelt welcome speech and gift basket donation on March 9th. Stephanie Vanderbilt, owner of CWE, gave the speech while sharing the mission of helping homeowners protect what matters most. The family selected for the new home consists of Pisey Tep and her 4-year-old daughter.
The dedication celebration came during a special week for the construction community. Women in Construction Week (WIC Week) occurs during the first week of March. WIC Week celebrates women who have taken the brave step to enter the construction industry. In honor of Women’s History Month, this week recognizes all the great initiatives and works of women in the industry. Only 11% of construction companies have women owners. CWE is the #1 woman-led exterior remodeling company in New England (2023 INC. 5000).
“Habitat for Humanity of Greater Lowell believes that everyone deserves a decent place to live - and that providing paths to affordable home ownership helps us build a more equitable society. We are so proud of our recent build in Concord and repairs across 16 towns in North Middlesex Massachusetts,” said Elizabeth Garber, executive director at Habitat for Humanity of Greater Lowell. “Partners like Coastal Windows & Exteriors are instrumental in constructing these beautiful homes that are affordable at or below 60% the area median income. We are deeply grateful for their continuing generosity and support.”
The Tep family’s welcome home basket came with a heartfelt message from Vanderbilt: We offer you flowers so that your home may always know beauty. Bread so your home may never know hunger. Salt to remind you that life should have a little zest. Sugar to remind you that life is sweet. A candle so your home never knows darkness. And a blanket so you will always be warm.
“We are so happy to have the opportunity to support Habitat for Humanity of Greater Lowell for making this amazing affordable housing project, so Pisey Tep and her daughter can experience the joy of a new home,” said Vanderbilt. “It’s an even bigger honor during Women’s History Month and Women in Construction Week. It touches our heart to know that Ms. Tep will have a comfortable, beautiful, and energy efficient home for many years to come.”

“Habitat for Humanity of Greater Lowell is making a big difference in the lives of so many, and we are happy to see siding by James Hardie being used on the exterior of this home. It’s truly a testament to the trusted protection and long-lasting durability of our product.” said Adam Patterson, New England regional sales leader at James Hardie Building Products.
CWE also installed a free GAF Timberline UHDZ asphalt roof on the Tep family home. GAF roofs are made with top-quality award-winning materials, engineered to protect the home from ice dams and leaks all year and especially during the winter months. GAF roofs come with an unlimited wind speed warranty, guaranteeing the shingles won’t blow off the roof no matter how severe the storm.
