Cobb Hill Construction has been awarded a $4 million, multi-phase project from The Mountain Club, a 234-unit resort and spa on Loon Mountain.
Phase I of the project will include replacing 600 inefficient windows, improving the units' heating/cooling system functionality, and upgrading all corridor finishes and lighting. These renovations will greatly increase The Mountain Club's energy efficiency, in turn lowering the heating and cooling costs throughout the year while also lowering their impact on the local environment.
Phase 1 of the project will start this month with an 11-week compressed schedule. Subsequent phase plans are currently under development.
"We are pleased to work with The Mountain Club and are very excited about the renovations they have planned", said president of Cobb Hill Const., Jerry Kingwill. "We hope other businesses will follow their example in increasing efficiency and lowering energy consumption."
