Ned Collier, AIA, LEED AP, has joined Cannon Design as principal, in the firm's Boston office.
As a key part of Cannon Design's education practice, Collier will serve as the New England region's market leader, providing both regional and national expertise for Cannon Design's college and university practice. He will take a leadership role in marketing and client development, project leadership, staff mentoring and achieving positive project results.
A member of the Society for College and University Planning, Boston Society of Architects, Association of College Unions International and the American Association of Community Colleges, Collier also served on the designer selection panel of the Mass. Technology Collaborative.
He earned his bachelor's degree in architecture from the University of Cincinnati, and a master's of science in architecture from Columbia University.
With a particular talent in collaborating with multiple constituents to achieve consensus solutions, Collier brings insight and passion to building programming, academic library, campus center design and interdisciplinary classroom buildings, responding to evolving pedagogies and changing learning methodologies.
Collier's work has been published in several national and trade publications, and he has taught at the University of Colorado and Harvard University.
