Stamford, CT Colliers has appointed two senior industry leaders in its local office. Michael Deutsch and Joseph Meyerson join the firm from Cushman & Wakefield and bring to Colliers experience completing 1031 Exchanges for clients as well as facilitating investment sales and leases across the industrial and office sectors.
Deutsch is an investment sales broker who joins the company as a senior vice president and brings to Colliers both a real estate license and securities license. In addition to facilitating the purchase and disposition of investment sales properties, Deutsch brings experience helping clients use Delaware Statutory Trusts to complete 1031 Exchanges. This service is valuable for individuals and organizations looking to sell properties and defer capital gains taxes. Deustch has completed a number of 1031 Exchanges for industrial properties including the $15 million sale 956 Brush Hollow Rd. on Long Island and the $4.4 million sale of 756 Nepperhan Ave. in Yonkers. Though based in Stamford, Deutsch will also work with professionals from Colliers Securities, the company’s full-service investment bank and registered securities broker-dealer.
Meyerson, joins the firm as a senior vice president and brings to Colliers nearly 35 years of industry experience in the New York metropolitan market. Over the course of his career, he has worked with a variety of clients including Petro Oil, Neiman Marcus and NBC. He has expertise representing both tenants and landlords across the industrial and office sectors. Meyerson completed 2.1 million s/f of transactions for the NYC Department of General Services as well as oversaw a 400,000 s/f warehouse lease to Metropolitan Transit Authority on behalf of the Feil Organization.
