Colliers brokers 15-year lease for RiverWoods Group’s new corporate headquarters

Durham, NH According to Colliers, RiverWoods Group, one of the largest nonprofit family of continuing care retirement communities in New Hampshire, has signed a 15-year lease for 8,732 s/f of Class A office space at 121 Technology Dr. The lease marks a major relocation of the organization’s corporate headquarters from Exeter.

David Choate and Abigail Bachman of Colliers represented the tenant, RiverWoods Group, in the transaction. Tom Farrelly of Cushman & Wakefield represented the landlord, 121 Tech Owner, LLC.

The new headquarters will be built out to meet the organization’s specifications and will allow RiverWoods to consolidate operations into a modern, purpose-built space.

The move was driven by the planned redevelopment of RiverWoods’ current Exeter headquarters location, which is slated to become a large healthcare center serving all of its communities.

RiverWoods’ relocation is a positive development for the town, bringing new jobs and investment to the community. The 121 Technology Dr. property, located in an office park, offers access and a high-caliber business setting.

Brandon Kelly of RJ Kelly, the property ownership and development firm, said, “We are proud to welcome RiverWoods to 121 Technology Dr. RiverWoods mission and values align well with our long-term vision for the property. From our first tour you could sense that the RiverWoods team appreciated our vision for the transformation of 121 Tech and how that vision was designed to create a truly unapparelled environment for anyone that works in or visits the building. 121 Tech is a special place that fosters creativity and collaboration in an immersive environment where you can truly feel at home and engaged. We look forward to a successful partnership with RiverWoods.”

“Finding a location that would support the future of our organization was a top priority,” said Justine Vogel, CEO of RiverWoods Group. “This space provides the flexibility, infrastructure, and quality environment our team needs to continue delivering on our mission.”

RiverWoods Group’s move is expected to be complete upon the build-out’s conclusion this fall.

This may seem self-serving, and I’ll be the first to admit it. But unlike some of the artificial intelligence tools now reshaping our industry, I am fully aware of my own bias. So, hear me out. The rise of AI in commercial real estate is not a distant threat or a speculative headline.
