Combined Properties promotes Burns to vice president of design services

Malden, MA According to Combined Properties, Shawn Burns has been appointed as vice president of design services. Burns joined Combined Properties in 2011 as a staff architect.

Burns is a registered architect in Mass. and an active participant in the Boston design community. At Combined Properties Burns directs a team of designers providing professional architectural services for small to large tenant fit-up work as well as overseeing the design of multiple commercial and multi-family residential redevelopment projects.

Burns earned a masters of architecture degree from The Boston Architectural College and a bachelor of science in Biology from Siena College. He is a NCARB (National Council of Architectural Registration Boards) certified and Massachusetts Board of Registration of Architects licensed architect. To further his interest in design and education Burns has been an active member of the practice faculty at the BAC, a gateway instructor for several valuable student lead design projects and serves as a mentor in the NCARB intern development program.

Burns enjoys living in Stoneham with his wife and two teenage boys where he is an assistant scout master of Boy Scout Troop 513, a basketball and soccer coach and the treasurer of Stoneham Youth Basketball.
