Construction Institute to present Building Our Future in Uncertain Times

West Hartford, CT The Construction Institute of the University of Hartford, named the panels and speakers for Building Our Future in Uncertain Times, a premier event for architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, owners/operators (AECO), lawyers, accountants, and other professionals in the industry. The event is being held Thursday, November 9, at Pond House.

The Institute is excited to offer this program that will examine successful projects and approaches that are structured “outside of the box.” Their goal is to bring together AEC industry professionals, including decision makers and owners, to hear success stories of alternative approaches, including alternative financing arrangements and to engage in an interactive discussion of how we can put those ideas into practice.

Building Our Future in Uncertain Times will be moderated by Martin Onorato, partner, Robinson+Cole. The program will include an examination of three case studies:

• Skanska’s Seaport 101: Al Gogolin, PE, LEED AP, senior vice president, Skanska;

• Marriott’s Modular Construction Process: Dave Walsh, senior director, MSB project manager, Marriott International; and

• The Power of P3 – Falls Church City Public Schools: Robert Jones, senior project manager, Arcadis.

The Construction Institute is a non-profit, non-partisan association of diverse professions working to improve the construction industry by sharing knowledge, advancing relationships, and developing business leaders.

The Institute is known for high quality Programs and Professional Education Workshops, and meaningful opportunities for connecting with other dedicated industry professionals through committee work, speaking and writing opportunities, and networking at events.
