Crystal Windows introduces new aluminum sliding glass patio door: architecturally rated series CTP-1280 sliding patio door

Crystal Window & Door Systems has introduced the new architecturally rated Series CTP-1280 sliding patio door. Suitable for both replacement and new construction, the aluminum sliding patio door is available now in a 2-panel model, and a 3-panel version will be introduced soon. The strong, durable, weather-resistant new door has achieved an AAMA rating of AW-PG50, making it an outstanding choice for commercial buildings and mid- and high-rise residential properties. "This architecturally rated product has been highly engineered and well tested for some time, and it is our top of the line sliding door offering," said Steve Chen, chief operating officer for Crystal Windows. "This beautiful heavy-duty door is available with a variety of energy efficient low-E glass coatings, triple pane insulating glass units, argon gas filling and even acoustical rated options to further enhance its performance." The Series CTP-1280 sliding patio door features sturdy 4-9⁄16" frame construction and a tubular sill with concealed drainage. A 1" double-pane insulating glass unit with double strength tempered glass is standard. Customers can choose from several styles of between-the-glass grid options. Hardware for the new Series CTP-1280 is top quality. Stainless steel adjustable dual tandem ball bearing rollers and a stainless steel track assure easy operation for years to come. A heavy-duty locking handle is standard, and a cylinder key lock is an option. The sliding door's ease of operation is further assured with a heavy-duty 2-1/4" x 1-1/2" profile ergonomically shaped full height pull rail. A locking fibermesh aluminum frame screen that rides in an integrated pocket adds to the door's outstanding features. Maximum size for the 2-panel door is a grand 123" wide by 96" tall. Installation is expedited through the availability of numerous accessories including mullion systems, panning, snap trim with clip fasteners and nailing or face flanges. Like all Crystal aluminum products, the new sliding door comes standard with a durable AAMA 2604 VOC-free powder coat paint finish in either white or bronze colors. Other custom colors as well as two-tone (different interior and exterior) colors are optionally available.
