Dakota DesignStaff, Inc. is celebrating 22 years

Boston, MA Dakota DesignStaff, Inc. is celebrating 22 years in providing staffing solutions to the AEC industry in the Boston market and beyond with providing skilled architecture, engineering and construction staff specifically for the building and design profession. Dakota’s goal is to provide their clientele with architects, interior designers, engineers & facilities professionals with qualifications matching candidates with their clients’ specific needs. All candidates are interviewed and given CAD testing when appropriate. Dakota uses the latest Revit software platform for testing and evaluating candidates. Their staffing services include temporary, temp-to-hire and direct hire placements. Dakota arranges all interviews and takes care of all required paperwork. Dakota is one of the only Boston area AEC staffing agency owned and operated by an architectural professional.

The president of Dakota, Eric Wright, has over 18 years of experience in Boston and New England firms in such capacities as detailer, designer, job captain and project manager.

Eric’s extensive experience as an architectural design professional in Boston firms, offers a unique service to clients in helping them achieve specific staffing goals as well as helping candidates with projected career goals. Eric started with Dakota in 2007 as a staffing account manager. In 2011 Eric was promoted to Vice President. In 2014 Eric took over as Owner and President from John Donahoe, former owner and architect who founded Dakota 1993. Eric holds a Master of Architecture degree from Boston Architectural College.

Eric has been invited to return for a third time as a guest speaker at the annual ABX tradeshow this November 18, 2015 at the Boston Convention & Exhibit Center in South Boston. Eric will be participating on a panel geared towards business development and emerging professionals. The main topic is a discussion on resume and portfolio design and offering professional insight to aspiring career seekers in the design profession on how to get their foot in the door with prospective employers in the AEC industry.
