David of Jones Lang LaSalle named president of MBC

The Mass. Building Congress (MBC) appointed its officers elected for 2010-2011. Jones Lang LaSalle managing director Mark David has been named president. He will succeed Paul Coffey, president of E.J. Wells Insurance Agency. The MBC, a professional organization serving the construction industry, provides a business and networking forum for companies and individuals in the building industry. Through monthly breakfast programs, social and fundraising events, and educational forums, MBC helps members promote their business while advancing the mutual interests of all.
The other newly-elected 2010-2011 officers of the MBC are:
* president-elect John Cannistraro Jr. of J. C. Cannistraro, LLC
* vice president Benjamin Goldfarb of Nauset Construction Corp.
* vice president Joseph Flynn of Allsteel
* vice president Daniel Perruzzi Jr., AIA, LEED AP, of Margulies Perruzzi Architects
* secretary/treasurer Carolyn Miller, Berry, a division of Suffolk

David utilizes over 25 years of construction experience leading Jones Lang LaSalle's national construction efforts, as well as, directing the daily management and development of the New England region's 55 construction professionals, where his responsibilities include strategic planning, business development, and client relations. David's additional responsibilities include development and implementation of the Jones Lang LaSalle's construction business into new markets where the firm has a major presence.
Large scale projects, which the New England construction team completed under David's direction include: over 60 projects for EMD Serono in Rockland, Mass., as well as, the construction of its new LEED Gold registered research facility in Billerica, Mass.; IBM's headquarters in Littleton, Mass.; MARSH in Boston; McCarter & English in Boston and Hartford, Conn.; Boston Scientific in Quincy, eClinicalWorks in Westborough, Mass. and Hittite Microwave in Chelmsford, Mass.
David is an active member and supporter of several construction organizations including: the Associated General Contractors of Massachusetts (AGC), Boston Society of Architects (BSA), Building Owners and Manager Association (BOMA), CoreNet Global Real Estate Network (CORENET), International Facilities Management Association (IFMA), International Interior Design Association (IIDA), and the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP).
