Delphi Construction completes $50 million modular affordable housing development

Greenfield, MA According to Delphi Construction, Inc. vice president, Joe Mastromatteo, they have completed Leyden Woods, a $50 million affordable housing development for its client, The Community Builders.  

The modular construction project consisted of 200 units in 49 buildings comprising 8 courts. Design was provided by Davis Sq. Architects of Somerville with modular manufacturing from Simplex Homes of Scranton, Penn. 

“Delphi is very pleased to have turned over the eighth and final court of this large scale construction project to our client. I’d like to congratulate The Community Builders on another successful effort to provide high quality, affordable housing that strengthens the neighborhood and the community. I would also like to commend Davis Sq. Architects for their outstanding design work and Simplex Homes for the high quality manufacturing evident in each modular unit. Most importantly, I’d like to thank all of the project stakeholders for the spirit of teamwork and cooperation that helped make this project such a resounding success.” Mastromatteo said.

The 19.5 month project was completed on schedule with the 493rd modular unit set in place on May 9 and turnover of the final court on May 25.
