DiOrio joins Unison Realty as vice president of investor relations

Boston, MA According to Unison Realty Partners, a leading privately held retail real estate investment management firm, John DiOrio has joined the team as vice president of investor relations. In his role, DiOrio will work to build and maintain relationships with investors, brokers and agents.

“John will be a tremendous asset for Unison as we continue to grow our presence in new regions across the U.S.,” said Karim Fadel, founder and principal of Unison Realty. “His experience in business development and investor relations will make him an invaluable addition to our team as we grow our platform.”

DiOrio brings to the Unison team nine years of institutional investor relations and fundraising experience. Most recently he was an assistant vice president at FLAG Capital Management, a private equity and real assets fund-of-funds investor with over $7 billion in client commitments since inception. There he was in charge of key business development efforts across the firm’s global investment strategies: private equity, venture capital, energy and natural resources, and real estate.

Prior to FLAG Capital Management, DiOrio worked in private equity and real estate fundraising at placement agents BerchWood Partners in N.Y. and Monument Group.

He graduated magna cum laude from Emerson College with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Writing, Literature, and Publishing.
