Andrew Hayes

Boston, MA Eastern Real Estate LLC, one of the industry’s leading commercial real estate investment, development, and asset management firms, recently added Andrew Hayes to the firm’s expanding team. Hayes will work closely with Eastern’s executive team and will oversee strategic asset management initiatives across the firm’s diverse portfolio. Hayes will also lead select development projects throughout the country with a particular focus on residential, hospitality, and mixed-use projects.

In the past 18 months, Eastern has closed on eight new projects totaling approximately one million s/f with a value in excess of $500 million.

“Andrew will be pivotal to our ongoing success as we continue to acquire and reposition a diverse range of value-add real estate opportunities throughout the country,” said Dan Doherty, co-founder and principal of Eastern Real Estate. “He brings a wealth of institutional experience across asset classes that will complement our team and the continued expansion of our organization and portfolio.”

Prior to joining Eastern, Hayes was a lead development project manager with the Related Companies, where he oversaw all aspects of new development projects from site acquisition, and financing, to entitlement, construction oversight, market strategy and ultimately asset management. To date, Hayes has worked on over three million s/f across all asset classes, including luxury, affordable and workforce housing, ground-up and adaptive re-use office, industrial, and hospitality.

Eastern has a proven track record for consistently creating value for its partners and the communities in which it invests, and the team’s continued growth has fueled a multitude of new value creation opportunities.

Eastern Real Estate also made the following appointments:

• Keileen Hopps has been named operations manager and executive assistant. She will coordinate and manage daily operations in the Boston office including procurement, IT, new employee onboarding and investor reporting.

• Samantha Smith has joined the team as a property accountant. She is responsible for the day to-day accounting functions for multiple properties in Eastern’s portfolio.
