EMCOR Services N.E. Mechanical named one of the best places to work

EMCOR Services N.E. Mechanical (NEMSI) was recently again named one of the best places to work in Conn. The annual program to recognize the state's top employers is sponsored by the Hartford Business Journal, the Conn. Better Business Bureau, and Best Companies Group. One of N.E's leading mechanical services contractors, EMCOR Services N.E. Mechanical is a subsidiary of EMCOR Group, Inc., a Fortune 500 leader in mechanical and electrical construction, energy infrastructure and facilities services for a diverse range of businesses globally. "Being named one of the best places to work in Conn. for the second year in a row is indeed an honor," said Dana Finnegan, president of EMCOR Services N.E. Mechanical. "It is testimony to a corporate culture at EMCOR that places a special emphasis on the well-being of employees, reflecting an attention to professional development, as well as a strict adherence to stringent safety practices in the field." In announcing the award, the Hartford Business Journal said, "EMCOR Services N.E. Mechanical is an example of a workplace that continuously evolves in the treatment of their employees. NEMSI communicates extensively with its employees, takes steps to recognize employee longevity...works hard to keep its employees safe." The best places to work in Conn. survey and award program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in the state, benefiting the state's economy, its workforce and businesses. The program recognizes 25 companies categorized into two groups: *18 small/medium-sized companies (15-199 employees) *7 large-sized companies (more than 200 employees). There is a two-part process used to determine the companies awarded the recognition of best places to work in Conn. The first part consists of evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. The second part consists of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The combined scores determine the top companies and the final ranking.
