Engelberth Construction renovating/constructing Mayo Healthcare facility

Engelberth Construction, Inc. is renovating and constructing an addition to Mayo Healthcare Inc.'s 50 bed skilled nursing facility. The construction management project, which began in November, consists of a 4,800 s/f addition and just over 8,000 s/f of renovations which will be carried out in phases to accommodate the residents occupying the facility during construction. Details include a new main entrance canopy and vestibule addition, various resident room conversions to single or two-bed occupancy, and an addition with 5 single-bed and 4 two-bed resident bedrooms. Within the existing residential wings, renovations will introduce a new nursing work center, resident gathering space, visitor lounge, storage room and restrooms. Reconstruction of the central core will include the main nursing station, report room, coordinators' office, medication prep room, business office and PT/OT gym. Infrastructure improvements and a light refinishing of the remaining corridors will unify the spaces and round out the project due for completion in the fall.
