Erland Const. completes gut rehab for Covidien

July 15, 2010 - Construction Design & Engineering
Erland Construction, Inc. finished a complete gut and build out of a 2-story, 70,000 s/f building for Covidien in the Crosby Corporate Center. Teaming with project manager Holm & Associates and architect AHP Architects, Erland completed the project in just five months. This is the second time that Erland has managed a construction project for Covidien. The first - completed in 2008 - was a major renovation and expansion on their U.S. corporate headquarters campus in Mansfield.
In Bedford, Erland has transformed the first floor of the building into office space for the sales, marketing, and human resources departments. The second floor now features manufacturing and R&D space with several different types of laboratories, cleanrooms, and a clean/dry room. This project has applied for a Silver LEED for Construction Interiors certification.
Erland's project manager for this project, Gregg Conboy, said, "We're very proud of this project and happy to have worked for Covidien on another successful project. It's always rewarding to work with an owner multiple times and develop a relationship of mutual trust and respect."
