Farrelly, Dancoes, Jackson and Johnson of C&W sell 103,413 s/f to R.J. Finlay & Co.

On behalf of Thermo Fisher Scientific, Cushman & Wakefield sold One Liberty Lane for $3.4 million. Cushman & Wakefield's executive director Thomas Farrelly, senior directors Denis Dancoes and Eric Jackson, and associate Sue Ann Johnson represented the seller, Thermo Fisher Scientific, and procured the buyer, R.J. Finlay & Co. "R.J. Finlay & Co. is proud to acquire this truly spectacular property. It is our intent to create a master plan for One Liberty Lane that will preserve its place as the premier and most prestigious Class A office space in the state of New Hampshire," said Robert Finlay, CEO of R.J. Finlay & Co. One Liberty Lane was long utilized as Fisher Scientific's headquarters facility. Thermo Electron merged with Fisher Scientific and the companies became Thermo Fisher Scientific. The building was designed by the architectural firm Royal Barry Wills Associates. Included in the sale of the three-story, 103,413 s/f building was an extensive collection of rare colonial antiques and artwork. In addition, the structure has a climate controlled wine cellar, cafeteria, underground parking, saunas, showers, a squash court and greenhouse. "The sale of One Liberty Lane represents an extremely rare opportunity to own a renowned piece of corporate real estate in New Hampshire's desirable and growing Seacoast area," said Farrelly. "The property is without peer in the region and is certainly one of the finest boutique corporate campuses in all of New England." One Liberty Lane is located on a 26-acre private campus offering walking and jogging trails, ponds and footbridges. The landscaped site is within the 160-acre Liberty Lane Office Park. The park, home to Wheelabrator Technologies and Unitil, offers a private heli-pad for the exclusive use of the park's tenants. While One Liberty Lane has long been operated as a corporate headquarters, the property's flexible zoning allows for a wide variety of potential uses including office, medical, education or hospitality. In addition, the generous 26-acre site offers various expansion possibilities. The custom-built facility is located at the junction of I-95 and Rte. 101 offering access to Boston, Portsmouth and Portland. R.J. Finlay & Co. is a national real estate firm with development, asset management, construction and construction materials divisions, with offices in Milford, NH.
