Boston, MA Fortis Property Group, a vertically integrated owner, operator and developer that is renowned for its transformative residential and multi-faceted real estate projects throughout major East Coast markets and in Texas, has reached a significant construction milestone on its latest residential tower located at 55 Lagrange St. in the Theater District.

This is Fortis’s second residential development in the city. The firm entered the market in 2007 with its acquisition of 1 Lincoln St., a 1.1 million s/f class AA office building in the Financial District. In 2018, Fortis acquired the Dock Sq. Garage along the Greenway and adjacent to Faneuil Hall and rezoned the property to permit the development of a 250,000 s/f residential condominium project above the existing garage structure. The team is bullish on the city’s future as it moves forward with these two developments, while eyeing additional opportunities throughout the area to add to its more than 8 million s/f portfolio.

“Boston is an incredible place to live, and this milestone could not be happening at a better time - we view the high demand and limited supply of residential inventory in Boston as a symbol of the local real estate market’s resilience and positive trajectory,” said Jonathan Landau, CEO of Fortis Property Group.

The Sarkis Team at Douglas Elliman is the exclusive listing agent for 55 Lagrange St. Stantec is the architect and Linda Zarifi of ZARIFI DESIGN is the tower’s interior designer. The building will consist of 168 residences with amenity spaces and luxurious interiors throughout the homes and shared spaces. Construction is scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2022.
