January 01, 2016 - Northern New England

Franklin, NH According to Jeffery Savage, president & CEO of Franklin Savings Bank, the bank sponsored 44 children in the Franklin area and granted an additional 40 wishes for children in the Boscawen and New Hampton communities.

“As a true community bank dedicated to helping improve the communities we serve, we are proud to support organizations, like Toys for Tots, during this time of the year,” said Savage, president & CEO.  “It is our hope that through the bank’s contributions to these types of programs, no child will wake up without a gift under their tree this holiday season.”

The bank sponsored 44 children in Franklin through Toys for Tots, which was coordinated by the Franklin Police Department.  Since 1992, FSB has sponsored 1,051 children through its participation in this annual holiday program.

Next, the bank granted 40 wishes for children in Boscawen and New Hampton through toy donations for the Boscawen Police Department’s Christmas for Kids Program and the New Hampton Community Church Community Gift Program.  Donations were collected at FSB offices in these towns from early November through the beginning of December.

The Bank also made a $1,700 donation to the Greater Lakes Region’s Children’s Charity Auction.  Twelve employees volunteered their time to work the phone bank during the auction.  In addition, $200 was collected from employees through a donation to wear jeans to work day.
