Green Century Capital Management, known for its socially responsible investment funds, has renewed its lease at 114 State St., under the ownership of State 114 Enterprises Limited Partnership. The renewal reflects the firm’s strategic decision to remain in a location that aligns with its operational needs and values.

Despite the current downturn in the office market, non-profit organizations continue to face challenges finding affordable, well-located office space in downtown. By working closely with both MASSPIRG and Green Century Capital Management, Freudenheim Partners secured favorable rents for both clients, ensuring they could remain in prime locations without compromising on cost or convenience.

“Green Century Capital Management and MASSPIRG are related through their shared commitment to environmental and social causes, but they operate in different ways,” said Ellie Cullinan, executive vice president at Freudenheim Partners. “Our real estate search evaluated options for the two groups to share space, purchase a building, and lease space.
