Fulton Properties leases 5,028 s/f to General Radar at Charlestown Navy Yard

Charlestown, MA Dan Luter, vice president of Fulton Properties, completed the leasing of 5,028 s/f to General Radar Corp. at Building 39 in the Charlestown Navy Yard.

“The Charlestown Navy yard has always been on the cutting edge of creation and innovation. While today’s Charlestown Navy Yard is more focused on technology, life sciences and education, it still provides the space required to sustain that tradition of creativity and innovation. We are glad that General Radar has chosen Navy Yard Plaza in Charlestown to forge their future,” said Luter.

General Radar was represented by Colin Gordon of Hunneman Real Estate.

Since Robert Kenney, former head of the Boston Redevelopment Authority, founded Kenney Development in 1977, the developer of Navy Yard Plaza, has been involved in restoring, developing and managing signature properties throughout greater Boston including the Charlestown Navy Yard, Burroughs Wharf and Penmark, a historical restoration of the original site of Boston College.

In 1989, upon completion of the historic restoration of buildings comprising Navy Yard Plaza, it received a Preservation Award from the Massachusetts Historic Commission. General Radar will be continuing that tradition and history of innovation in the Charlestown Navy Yard.

“We are excited to build a footprint in such an incredible part of Boston for our team that has convenient access to transportation and terrific restaurants, parks and museums,” said General Radar’s founder and CEO Dmitry Turbiner.
