According to Eliot Fierberg, director of leasing and development for Galaxy Development, LLC of Auburn, Mass., the company is acquiring a property located at 927 Farmington Ave.
The property has been home to Franklin Trust Federal Credit Union for over ten years. The credit union had recently closed with plans to renovate before contracting with Galaxy for the sale.
The Class A facility consists of approximately 2,500 s/f and has a single drive thru lane along with several parking spaces. It is situated at the signalized intersection of Farmington Ave. and Raymond Rd., which is one of the primary access drives for Blue Back Square and Whole Foods.
Through the first two quarters of 2011 Galaxy Development has acquired two Price Chopper anchored shopping centers in New York, and a development site in Franklin, Mass. which is also planned for Price Chopper. It has also completed new stores for Tractor Supply, Auto Zone and Dollar Tree in New Hampshire, and Rite Aid in central Massachusetts. Other new projects in various stages of development are located in Southington, Enfield and Simsbury and three within Worcester County, Mass.
