Geenty Group reps Tangen BioSciences in 16,200 s/f

Branford, CT Kristin Geenty, president of The Geenty Group, represented Tangen BioSciences, Inc. in the multi-year lease of 16,200 s/f. The landlord, 20 Commercial Associates, LLC, was represented by Fred Petrella of Connecticut Realty Group.

Tangen approached Geenty during Q1 2019 seeking her expertise in quickly locating a larger bioscience facility in advance of the company bringing a new diagnostic product to market. The system, TangenDx, quickly & inexpensively tests for infectious diseases like Anthrax at the molecular level, without the need for a lab.

After developing a slate of possibilities, no facility with existing lab space suitable for biotech was found to fit the bill, so, it was determined that leasing raw space was the best option. Tangen worked with the landlord to design, build and equip a new facility.

The company held a grand opening on August 29, completing a search, retrofit & move in less than 9 months after their initial contact with Geenty.
