Essex, CT Diane Arnold, president & CEO of Essex Savings Bank said that Lynn Giroux has been promoted to executive vice president, chief operating officer. “Lynn is an invaluable member of the senior management team of Essex Savings Bank and this promotion is well-deserved,” said Arnold.
Giroux has 40 years of banking experience, having spent the last 22 at Essex Savings Bank, whereby she oversees human resources, compliance, branch administration, deposit operations, loan administration, marketing and facilities. In addition to her work responsibilities, Giroux serves as ambassador and member for the Middlesex Chamber of Commerce, is a member of the Society for Human Resource Professionals, the American Bankers Association, the Connecticut Bankers Association whereby she also serves on the organization’s Human Resource Committee, and is a past board member of Camp Hazen YMCA. She has participated as a panelist for the Vermont Bankers Association’s Women in Leadership Conference, the Connecticut Bankers Association as well as other compliance-related organizations. Giroux is an advocate for the community banking industry.
Giroux was the recipient of the 2014 Women of FIRE (Finance, Insurance, and Real Estate), an award given by The Commercial Record to women who have achieved excellence and make a difference in these traditionally male-dominated fields. Giroux is a graduate of the University of Vermont, as well as the New England School of Banking.
