Griffin named president of The Davis Companies

According to The Davis Companies, Corey Griffin has joined as its president. Griffin joins The Davis Cos. from 17 years with Bank of New York Mellon, during which he spent 15 years with The Boston Company Asset Management, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of BNY Mellon, serving 7 years as its chief executive officer. During his tenure as CEO, TBCAM grew dramatically from $20 billion to $75 billion in assets under management, from 110 employees to over 300, and the company opened offices in New York, London, Chicago, Los Angeles and Denver while growing from a primarily domestically-focused organization to a global leader in the equity markets. Prior to serving as CEO, Griffin was TBCAM's chief operating officer. In addition to overseeing the senior management team responsible for the day-to-day operations of The Davis Companies, Griffin will work closely with CEO and founder Jonathan Davis on the expansion of the company's asset management and development platforms in order to broaden the company's offerings and strengthen its capacity to manage investments for both high net worth and institutional investors, as well as other strategic growth initiatives. "Corey's leadership skills, strategic thinking and deep experience will help position The Davis Companies for its next phase of growth. Having him join our team is a key element in our continuing commitment to better serve our investors, tenants and partners. Griffin holds a BA in Economics from Harvard University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He resides in Wellesley, Massachusetts with his wife, Deirdre, and their four children.
