Hill joins Thornton Tomasetti as vice president
Boston, MA Jonathan Hill, a building envelope specialist, has joined Thornton Tomasetti’s local office as vice president. As a member of the façade engineering team, Hill will be focusing on the design, performance and construction administration of façade and enclosure systems for both new and existing buildings.
Hill has nearly 20 years of experience in all aspects of building envelope consulting, including below-grade waterproofing, complex facades, envelope repair and restoration, plan and specification review and construction litigation. He has overseen projects in the commercial, healthcare, education and residential sectors in the U.S. and internationally. Most recently, he was director of engineering for Kaizon Engineering Ltd. in Auckland, New Zealand.
Hill has a bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering from Pennsylvania State University and is a licensed professional engineer. He is also a chartered professional engineer in New Zealand. He is active in several industry associations, such as the American Society of Civil Engineers, Building Enclosure Council and Glass Association of North America.
