Steve Hills, Tecton Architects

Hartford, CT In a continuing effort to enhance the use of growing technologies in the field of architecture and bring better solutions to their clients, Tecton Architects has filled two key positions.

Steve Hills, an 11-year veteran of the firm, has been promoted to BIM manager. This role focuses on advancing the firm’s use of 3D building information modelling and elevating the capabilities of the integrated design and construction teams. 

Rebecca Hopkins will take on a brand new role at Tecton, manager of emerging technologies.  This position goes beyond the day-to-day use of software, exploring non-traditional, cutting-edge ways of exploring design ideas and constructability. Current initiatives include tiered virtual reality/augmented reality design, 3D printing and mixed media modeling, and job site observation efficiency. In just three years in the field of Architecture, Hopkins’ presence has made a notable impact on her projects, the culture of collaborative design and the Tecton brand.
