Hobbs Brook Management LLC selects Margulies Perruzzi Architects and Columbia Construction Company for project

Hobbs Brook Management LLC has selected design firm Margulies Perruzzi Architects and construction manager Columbia Construction Company for another out-of-the-ground office building project. It is anticipated that this four-story, 160,000 s/f class A office building will achieve LEED Silver certification for new construction by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and will be the first office building in town to do so. The project is scheduled to break ground this month and is slated for completion in 2013. "Working with both Margulies Perrruzzi Architects and Columbia Construction Company has proven to be a successful formula for designing and building new and sustainable projects, as evidenced by our recent 175-185 Wyman Street project in Waltham. We are thrilled to reunite this successful team and embark upon another sustainable project together," said Donald Oldmixon, first vice president of construction, real estate and leasing at Hobbs Brook. "Hobbs Brook has been committed to building and operating sustainably for more than thirty years, and we are proud to offer yet another green Class A office building to our growing list of tenants." The building will be shared by two tenants, FM Global, one of the world's largest business property insurers, and Dedham Medical Associates. FM Global, which has operated in Norwood since the 1950's, will relocate nearly 200 employees from 500 River Ridge Drive in Norwood to this new building, which is situated on the same campus as its Center for Property Risk Solutions. The $4.7 billion company chose to relocate to provide a centralized location for its Massachusetts employees. Dedham Medical Associates will relocate its Norwood office from 325 River Ridge Drive in order to enhance the patient experience in a larger space. The project is scheduled to break ground in October and is slated for completion in 2013. About Hobbs Brook Management LLC As both owner and operator, Hobbs Brook Management LLC is committed to providing its tenants and their employees with a reliable and fully functional business environment.
