Holmes of R.W. Holmes Realty joins the board of trustees for The Foundation for MetroWest

Boston, MA According to The Foundation for MetroWest, Garry Holmes, commercial real estate industry leader and Southborough resident, is returning to its board of trustees. Holmes is president of R.W. Holmes Realty, a commercial brokerage firm serving the local, national, and international real estate needs of corporations. Holmes is a longstanding supporter of the foundation, having previously served as chair of the board of trustees from 2015 to 2017. He also currently serves on the foundation’s finance committee.

“Having previously served on our Board, Garry saw firsthand the impact that the Foundation has on our region and played an integral role in furthering our vision and mission,” said Judy Salerno, executive director of the Foundation for MetroWest. “Garry is passionate about the work that we do and the people and communities that we serve, and we welcome his unique set of skills back to our organization.”

Holmes leads R.W. Holmes Realty, the top independent commercial real estate firm in Massachusetts, which was founded by his father in 1976. As the president of the third-generation family-run business, he oversees the firm’s operations and guides a veteran team of brokerage professionals. Holmes is also a sought-after commercial real estate expert recognized as a thought leader in his field.

“As the leader of a business based in MetroWest, I know how important the nonprofit and philanthropic industries are to maintaining the high quality of life our residents and families enjoy,” Holmes said. “Especially during this most challenging year, I’m committed to working with the Foundation to strengthen the many organizations that meet the needs of our friends and neighbors who need additional support.”

Holmes also serves on the advisory council for Babson College, as a regional director for SIOR Global, and previously served as a corporator at Middlesex Savings Bank and on the board of Wellesley Bank.
