Horan of HallKeen Managment Co. named IREM Boston’s 2016 Professional Woman of the Year

Boston, MA Boston Metropolitan Chapter No. 4 of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) has named Donna Horan, CPM, senior vice president of management, Hallkeen Management Company, IREM Boston’s 2016 Professional Woman of the Year.

Congratulations go out to Horan for her continued commitment to her profession in real estate. Horan is responsible for the performance of the company’s businesses overseeing the management of the residential, assisted living, marketing and community relations divisions at HallKeen. Horan oversees the leaders of these divisions to ensure consistency with the overall company strategy and maintains an ongoing dialogue with the president to ensure both short-term and long-term business goals continue to be evaluated, updated and successfully met. In addition, Horan is responsible for reviewing all potential new management opportunities and structuring management, staffing, operating and budgeting plans that meet the goals of both the owners and company.

Prior to joining HallKeen Mgmt. in 1991, Horan was a rental/sales agent and manager for a real estate firm that specialized in multi-family housing.

Horan holds an executive Certified Property Manager designation from IREM. She has served as an executive board member, executive councilor and chairperson for IREM. She also holds a C5P designation from Spectrum (Certified Tax Credit Compliance Professional). As part of her membership with NEWIRE (New England Women in Real Estate), Horan joined their formal mentorship program and continues to enjoy mentoring young leaders and professionals in the property management/real estate industry.

The IREM Boston chapter will present the special award to Horan in December at the chapter’s holiday celebration / 2017 installation of officers and executive board dinner reception, at the Exchange Conference Center, Boston, on December 8.
