Kelleher, Pentore and Norton of Horvath & Tremblay broker $10.9m sale of Wood Crest Apartments

Lowell, MA Dennis Kelleher, John Pentore and Spencer Norton of Horvath & Tremblay have completed the sale of Wood Crest Apartments, a 51-unit multi-family property at a sale price of $10,900,436. 

Wood Crest Apartments is located at 151-159 Wood St. The property is located in the Highlands neighborhood of the city’s downtown. The Wood Crest Apartments consist of a three-story brick building containing a total of 51 units, comprised of three two-bedroom/one and a half-bathroom townhouse style units, 32 two-bedroom/one-bathroom units, 14 one-bedroom/one-bathroom units, and two studio units with 33,772 s/f of living area in 37,510 total gross s/f on 0.91 acres. Many of the units have been renovated with updated kitchens including stainless steel appliances, updated baths, vinyl plank flooring, granite-like countertops, tile backsplashes, and new light fixtures. 

Wood Crest Apartments is half a mile from the Drum Hill Shopping Center, one of the city’s major retail areas anchored by Walmart and Hannaford, one mile from Market Basket, and two miles from Lowell General Hospital, one of the largest healthcare institutions in the Merrimack Valley. The property is also close to UMass Lowell’s South and East Campuses, located 1.9 and 2.6 miles away, respectively. Public transportation is available on LRTA Bus Routes 5 and 17, which stop directly in front of the Wood Crest Apartments and connect to Downtown Lowell and offer service throughout the city. Train service to Boston is available at the Lowell Commuter Rail Station in downtown, two miles west along Westford St. and accessible via LRTA Bus Route 5 and 17. 

The property also offers connectivity to major transportation routes, with access to U.S. Rte. 3 and I-495, the primary commuter and commercial highways in the Merrimack Valley, offering convenient access to other major roadways in the Greater Boston area.
