Hovey of Gustave White Sotheby's International arranges $4.2 million sale

According to Gustave White Sotheby's International Realty, the recent sale of 1250 Champlin Rd. on Block Island for $4.2 million was the highest-price home sale on Block Island so far this year. According to New Shoreham records, the sale was recorded October 5th. The seller was Cormorant Cove Trust and the buyers were Mark and Jody Gorton. Joanne Hovey of Gustave White represented the seller. The 4,400 s/f post-and-beam waterfront home is located on Cormorant Cove in the Great Salt Pond, and the two-acre parcel has a sandy beach area. The residence was built in 1996 using recycled beams from a 1920s-era railroad bridge.
