Hunneman assists in achieving 96%
occupancy at the New England Business Center

Andover, MA Hunneman has helped to achieve an occupancy of 96% at the New England Business Center (NEBC), following the completion of nine leases brokered on behalf of landlord Andover MCB, LLC and its property manager, Eastport Real Estate Services, a leading property management and consulting firm. Signed over the course of the last 18 months, the nine new leases represent a combined 40,420 s/f.

“The level of occupancy speaks to the first-class space and quality of amenities at the New England Business Center,” said Chris Curley, an executive vice president with Hunneman. “In a challenging office market, tenants are more consciously looking for locations that accommodate their work, lifestyle, and wellness needs. Having ownership that is truly hands-on and invested in providing a premier office experience for their tenants is essential, they have really separated themselves and the assets from the competition.”

New England Business Center is home to a wide array of tenants, from small firms to national insurance providers. Within the last 18 months, new tenants include TEC Refresh, Cascodium, Agri Mark, Northwestern Mutual, Merrimack Valley Psychological Associates, Oxford Global, Old Republic Title, and NECC.

“We are thrilled with the leasing activity Hunneman has generated. Ken Oppenheim and Chris Curley have done a tremendous job in a very challenging office market,” said Bob Bowen, president of Eastport Real Estate Services. “The Eastport team led by Kim Anderson, was instrumental in not only closing the deals, but delivering the spaces to the tenants on time and on budget. The feedback from the tenants on the process and the end result, has been exceptional.”

NEBC is a class A office park with 260,000 s/f of space, including 18,000 s/f of amenities, across five buildings located at 10, 15, 18, 20 and 35 New England Business Center.

Notable amenities include on-site daycare at 15 NEBC, 9,000 s/f of fitness space featuring on-site personal training and daily workout classes. Tenants of NEBC also can enjoy ease of access to 14 miles of walking trails along the Merrimack River.

NEBC offers ample meeting spaces, including common conference rooms, as well as a full-service cafeteria and café with indoor and outdoor seating. The location provides convenient access to I-93 and 495, Rte. 128, and the Merrimack Valley Regional Transportation Authority.

The owner of New England Business Center, Andover MCB, LLC, was represented by Hunneman’s North Suburban team of Chris Curley and Ken Oppenheim for these recent transactions.
