Boston, MA Youth from the town of Canton enjoyed an unforgettable evening at TD Garden during the Boston Bruins game on Saturday, March 7, cheering on the B’s to a thrilling 3-1 win over the Washington Capitals as part of the Community Power Play initiative.

Thanks to the generosity of IBEW Local 103 and NECA Greater Boston, a group of enthusiastic kids from Pappas Rehabilitation Hospital for Children experienced the excitement of NHL hockey up close, watching teamwork, skill, and determination on full display during an action-packed game.

As official partners of the Boston Bruins, IBEW 103 and NECA are committed to creating meaningful experiences for young people across Greater Boston. Through the Community Power Play, participants received Bruins player jerseys and had the chance to meet Blades the Bruin, making the night even more memorable.

“IBEW Local 103 is proud to continue this partnership and the opportunities it creates for young fans in our communities,” said Lou Antonellis, business manager of IBEW Local 103. “Welcoming kids to TD Garden, sharing the excitement of a live game, seeing their faces light up – this is what Community Power Play is all about. It’s connection, inspiration, and showing them what teamwork and dedication can accomplish, and creating memories that will stay with them long after the final buzzer.”

“Our partnership with the Boston Bruins allows us to highlight the importance of collaboration and hard work,” said Kristen Gowin, NECA Greater Boston, executive manager. “Through Community Power Play, we’re helping create positive, lasting memories for kids while strengthening our connection to the communities we serve.”
