IBEW Local 103 hosts vice president Harris and supports access to reproductive care

Boston, MA IBEW Local 103 hosted vice president Kamala Harris’ roundtable discussion with elected leaders, and healthcare advocates from across Massachusetts regarding protecting access to reproductive care and abortion care in the aftermath of the Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision. Following the event, business manager/financial secretary Lou Antonellis shared this statement:

“Our union was honored today to host vice president Harris and elected leaders and healthcare advocates from across this state, and to underscore our support for essential reproductive care for all people. We’re proud to live in a state that has taken swift, decisive action to protect access to reproductive care and abortion care, and to protect health providers.”

“The electrical workers of our union know what it means to fight for respect and dignity, and to demand equity in the workplace and across our cities and communities. With so many workers across the state winning more rights in the workplace and gaining a voice at the table, we will not stand by in this moment and allow working people to have their fundamental rights and freedoms undermined by an extremist Supreme Court. Every person has an essential right to make personal healthcare decisions with their health care provider.”
