According to JLL, they were selection to the InformationWeek Elite 100, a list of the top business technology innovators in the United States for 2015. The firm was included in the publication's annual ranking for the fourth consecutive year and honored for its new online office marketplace, HiRise, which was named by InformationWeek as one of "20 Great Ideas To Steal In 2015."
"The merger of business strategy and technology is pivotal for offering the industry-leading client service that we provide at JLL," said David Johnson, JLL's chief information officer. "If you get left behind, so do your clients. Our information technology teams work to develop smart technology strategies to keep JLL at the forefront of the commercial real estate industry and prepare our employees for today's marketplace."
InformationWeek selected JLL for its innovation and ability to deliver solutions that allow its employees and clients to maximize the value of their real estate portfolios. The Elite 100 is unique among corporate rankings as it spotlights the power of business technology innovation.
"Gone are the days IT could run as an entity unto itself," said Chris Murphy, editor of InformationWeek. "If IT isn't part of product development, or marketing, or customer service, your company risks falling behind in the era of digital business."
The development of HiRise was a collaboration between JLL leadership, IT, marketing and its business experts. The platform simplifies the leasing process for both landlords and tenants, offering speed and flexibility through an online marketplace that allows users to search office space and sign leases.
"JLL experts worked hand in hand with our technology teams to create a unique online marketplace for office space," said Greg O'Brien, JLL's CEO for the Americas. "This sort of innovation is integral to JLL's culture and an example of how we continually drive advances in technology that help our clients make better decisions and drive value in their portfolios."
HiRise won the firm's annual Da Vinci award, which encourages innovation, prior to its launch in Washington, D.C. The platform currently serves select clients and is preparing for a wider local rollout in late spring. JLL will expand the platform to serve multiple U.S. locations later this year.
This is InformationWeek's 27th year identifying and honoring the nation's most innovative users of information technology.
