Integrated Builders nears completion of IEP Technologies interior build-out

February 20, 2014 - Construction Design & Engineering
Integrated Builders Inc. is building a new headquarters for IEP Technologies. The project located at 417 South St. will focus on the build out of 34,000 s/f of interior space in the 140,000 s/f building. Ci Design, Inc. and Engineered Systems, Inc. will collaborate with Integrated Bldrs. to complete the project this month. In 2011 Integrated Builders worked with the ownership, Calare Properties, on the exterior of the building, and completed site utilities, grading, drainage, paving, landscaping and construction of exterior doors and loading docks.
"Integrated Builders truly took on the project 'from a client's point of view' by taking an extra step to ensure the safety of everyone at IEP Technologies," said William Manley, chief investment officer of Calare Props. "From our previous experience with Integrated Builders, we welcome the opportunity to work with them once again."
The new office space will serve as the corporate headquarters for IEP Technologies, a spinoff of Kidde Fenwal. IEP Technologies specializes in manufacturing fire prevention systems for corporations around the world. The new headquarters will be divided into 15,000 s/f of office space and 19,000 s/f of production and assembly space. The production space is a heavy electrical, mechanical and process piping operation which includes bus duct, exhaust systems, compressed air, hydrogen and nitrogen gas piping.
"As always, we welcome the opportunity of a repeat client or building. The work at 417 South St. has allowed us to improve internal and external aspects of the building," said Greg Webster, project superintendent at Integrated Bldrs. "Employee safety is always a top priority and given the nature of IEP Technologies business, we've worked to ensure that the new space exceeds their expectations."
