IREM Chapter 51 member celebrates five years with IREM

The chapter leader would like to highlight some of its members that will reach 5, 10, 15, 25 and 30 years with the chapter. We will start with one of our 5 year members Mark O'Hagan. Congratulations Mark, and thank you for all of your contributions.
O'Hagan is a 1981 Cum Laude Graduate of the University of Connecticut in Storrs with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from their School of Business Administration. He is a career real estate professional with over 20 years of experience and he has been employed since 1991 as an asset manager by the Fusco Management Company, LLC located in New Haven.
In May, 1992 he earned the Real Property Administrator (RPA) designation awarded by Building Owners and Managers Institute International. In November, 2000 he earned the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation awarded by the CCIM Institute.
In 1999 through 2002 O'Hagan helped implement the relocation of the Columbus House homeless shelter within the city of New Haven. The various steps involved included site selection, building system specifications, architectural and construction firm selection process.
In December 2004 he earned the Certified Property Manager (CPM) credential awarded by the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM). In 2006 he was elected the Connecticut CCIM Chapter president. Under his leadership the Connecticut CCIM Chapter achieved a second place finish nationally in the annual CCIM President's Cup competition. In 2006 O'Hagan also received the IREM Rising Star awarded at the Institute of Real Estate Management Regional Leadership Conference in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
He was the 2007 and 2008 Connecticut IREM Chapter 51 president and treasurer in 2009.
